This comprehensive privacy policy outlines the practices of Expert Sights ("we" or "us") regarding the collection, utilization, sharing, and protection of information obtained from both Network Members and visitors to our websites (collectively referred to as "Sites").

As a Member, you have agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in our Expert Sights Membership agreement ("Terms & Conditions"), which incorporates this privacy policy. If you are not a member, simply visiting our Sites indicates your consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with the provisions outlined in this privacy policy.

We are committed to ensuring the privacy and protection of your personal information, and we take all necessary measures to safeguard your data.

 

Personal Information and Other Data We Collect

 

Expert Sights collects information that you voluntarily provide to us, including your name, contact details, and professional biography. Expert Sights collects additional information from ES Members about, for example, their participation in the Expert Sights Network and interactions with our clients. Expert Sights may also collect information about Members from our clients and third parties.

 

When you visit our Sites, we send one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Cookies make it easier for you to log on to and use the Sites during future visits.  You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Expert Sights's servers automatically record information when you visit our Sites. These servers' logs include information such as your web request and Internet Protocol address.

We utilize your information for various purposes, including processing and managing your Network Membership details, providing you with opportunities to participate in the Expert Sights Network, assisting with required approvals and consents for Project participation, complying with relevant laws and client compliance policies, and keeping you informed about the latest developments at Expert Sights. Our aim is to effectively analyze the information we collect in order to continuously improve, market, support, and grow our worldwide business.

 

Your personal information, obtained through our Sites, is never sold or shared with third-party entities for their marketing purposes. Expert Sights and our trusted partners only use your information for the specific purposes for which it was collected.

 

We may reach out to you using the personal information you voluntarily provide, specifically for the purpose of informing Network Members about new projects or consulting opportunities. If you have initiated the application process but have not completed it, Expert Sights may contact you based on the information you provided to determine if you wish to proceed with becoming a Network Member."

Disclosure Of Your Information

Your information will be held by Expert Sights in the United Kingdom and may also be held and accessed by Expert Sights staff and third parties working for Expert Sights, or Expert Sights's subsidiaries and affiliates, inside and outside the United Kingdom. If your information is gathered outside the United Kingdom, it may be transferred to Expert Sights's United States offices to be used for these purposes, and it may be transferred to and shared with any of Expert Sights's worldwide locations.

 

Expert Sights may disclose your information in response to legal process, to protect our rights, as otherwise required by law, or for the prevention or detection of a crime. If we sell our company or part of it, or our business enters into a joint venture with another business entity, Expert Sights may disclose your information to our new business partners or owners who may then provide you with information about their products and services.

 

Additional provisions applicable only to Expert Sights' Members:

 

·       Expert Sights may disclose your information to Clients.

 

·       Expert Sights may disclose your information to third parties, such as current and former employers and companies that you have provided services to or contracted with, for the purpose of confirming any consents or approvals that you may need to participate in the Expert Sights Engagement or in specific Project(s).

 

·       Expert Sights's Clients, if required by law or the Client's compliance policies, may disclose information about their projects with you, for example your name and the amount you were paid on the project ("Required Client Disclosures").  For example, a pharmaceutical company may be required to publicly disclose certain of its interactions with healthcare professionals.

 

·       Expert Sights reserves the right to conduct background checks on you, including through a third-party service.  Expert Sights may seek to verify your employment history, education credentials and check for any criminal history.  Expert Sights may seek to verify the duration and accurate invoicing and description of Projects you conduct for Clients.

 

·       Expert Sights may share your information with non-Client third parties for the purpose of promoting Expert Sights's business, including without limitation by displaying such information on Expert Sights's websites, Expert Sights's third party partner websites, print media and other materials (collectively, "Marketing Materials"), subject to your right to opt-out, as provided in the Terms & Conditions.

 

Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information

 

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, while respecting Expert Sights' confidentiality obligations to its clients. You can request that we update your personal information to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date. We may also update your information using data obtained from third-party sources. Network Members are expected to regularly update their biographical and employment information with Expert Sights.

 

Opting Out of Information Collection and Utilisation

 

You have the option to choose not to provide personal information to Expert Sights.

 

Network Members can opt-out of their membership in the Expert Sights Network, and we will make every effort to cease contacting them.

 

You can also configure your computer to reject cookies, but this may limit your ability to use certain features on our Sites.

Content Forwarding

 

Expert Sights may provide tools on the Sites to forward content from the Sites to others through e-mail or other means. E-mail address(es) that you supply for content forwarding will be used for that purpose only.

 

Refer A Colleague

 

You can use the "Refer a Colleague" feature to send an email to a colleague who has given their consent to being contacted by Expert Sights. Your name will be displayed as the sender of the referral email. Recipients of the referral email have the option to opt-out of receiving further referral emails. Expert Sights may retain referral information to offer further opportunities to your colleagues. Only provide a phone number if your colleague has consented to being contacted by Expert Sights via phone.

Security & Information Retention

 

We employ security measures to protect your information both online and offline from access by unauthorized persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.  If you are a Member, Expert Sights may retain your information for its business purposes if you cease to be a member of the Expert Sights Network, provided that Expert Sights will protect all such information about you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Our Sites may contain links to other web sites belonging to third parties. Please make sure when you leave our Sites that you have read that web site's privacy policy as this Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected at our Sites.

 

Changes To This Policy

 

Expert Sights may update this policy. Any changes to this Privacy Policy in the future will be posted to the Sites. Your continued use of these Sites and, if you are a Network Member, your continued participation in the Expert Sights Network, will indicate your agreement to such changes.
